After all, what does a lizard or a caveman have to do with car insurance? How often will a guerilla get a hold of your luggage? Or why would a polar bear love Coke? Marketing is all about the gimmick. Budweiser did a great commercial for the superbowl one year when the Clydesdale horses were playing foot ball. Again, nothing to do with beer but a great gimmick that got people talking (and thinking) about the Bud commercial. Most great (successful) marketing campaigns are gimmicks of one kind or another.
