Article of the Day :: Why Blogs Have Become the Search Engine Optimization Equalizer

It may not be new information, or anything I haven’t said before – but then again I’m not the only “expert” in the world and this bears repeating. Whatever it takes for your light buble to go on. :-D

From WWCoder.com ::

Blogs are the great equalizer because they simplify the task of adding content to a website on a daily or weekly basis. They make it simple for the average joe to add content to their site on a daily basis with just a few clicks of the mouse.

What is more, the spider search engine companies recognize this and make it a point to spider the blog networks on a regular basis, sometimes a daily basis.

Case Studies Galore : ZDNet

I recently realized that, perhaps as part of their nice facelift, ZDNet’s Updates.com has a nice white papers section. It’s been there a while, but what I’ve noticed is that accessing many of these documents is free of charge. For example, here’s one on Achieving a Top Google Ranking.

Money Mondays : Just got off the phone with Warren Whitlock

I’d been a great fan of his for about two years. You can subscribe to his free resource-rich newsletter at his Marketing Results Coaching site. And what’s so great about Warren is that he is always full of wonderful tips and information. Including how I came to be talking to him on the phone.

As many of you know I keep a suite in town where I work when I know I have to be near the convention center or in Vegas proper. While I was there today, I went to pick up some mail. And I’d gotten a postcard from someone I’d been meaning to call, because he was one of the few wizards I respect in the task of promoting a book online (as opposed to an ebook). I’m about half finished with a book that I want to make a big noise with myself.

The front of the postcard was a great promotional opportunity. On the back was a hand written note from Warren! I felt so special. At the end of the note was his phone number, which was local to me, so I gave him a ring.

During our half-hour conversation, I felt like I was getting premium coaching on a few aspects of my business that I’d been a little too busy to attend to – nothing major broken. But a few examples of his own successes from similiar actions were a fountain of knowledge. Other things he spoke of let me know that I was still on the right track, and helped me figure out a couple of things to do differently.
