of the Zero Cost Traffic Ezine is ready. Sorta. I’m having formatting issues so it’s not in the usual spot.
This was supposed to be my birthday issue, but between the formatting issue and being tricked into a surprise gathering, it had to be tonight instead.
This is the issue with the last Traffic Reality pre-launch-priced memberships. The first thirty of this last pre-launch set were gone before my birthday was out. Didn’t seem fair to the weekly/twice monthly crowd so I’m giving 30 more people the bonus of having a micro-consult with me.
Also in this issue:
- two freebie giveaways
- free teleseminars
- free interview
- trial of shorter issues

I woke up from a weird dream where I had the taste of breast milk – of all things! – in my mouth. That soured my mood, which colored my perception, and I didn’t catch it in time to re-direct my energy. I’m sorry if any of you witnessed that – though I can’t say I’ll ever deal with spam/snarkiness/content theft/other like a perfect angel, I will make sure, in future, that I don’t let the issue extend to a wider audience. Bad energy tends to start a chain reaction of worse energy if you don’t know how to stop it.
But the good news is, just six months ago I would have continued that chain for up to two days before I stopped, witnessed, and ended up laughing at myself and the whole situation.
And because that, I am grateful for rule number six.

Thanks for reading this.
I’m about to put out the newsletter. When it comes out, this link, of course, will appear in it. I’d really appreciate it if you would come by here and tell me whether you would prefer to get the shorter version on a weekly basis, or if you still like my jam-packed-I’ll-be-reading-this-the-whole-week version. The upside to the short version is that it will come out more often and it will be easier to digest, and more timely. The downside is that there will be less in it.
Oh, also? I’m thinking of scrapping what was the free member’s area altogether, except for the link directory, and putting in just an article directory. Do you use the free member’s area? Do you even know the address? I haven’t updated it in 37 years, or even mentioned it here since two design changes ago.
So yeah… okay… I think that’s it.

Is it me or is Technorati working especially well lately? I have blogs in all different kinds of format, and on all of them, they’ve really been on time these past few weeks, even with Blogger. I mean, I hope I’m not jinxing it or anything, but it seems like they’re doing a great job right now.
Okay. I have to stop and do the rest of this later. The video for Sade’s Cherish the Day is on. Life must come to a screeching halt for four minutes.
*Edit* Okay, I’m back. I was wondering how everyone else is finding Technorati. The next video I’m going to add to the Blog Optimization Package is about tricks to getting more traffic out of Technorati. There’s so much about the site that people don’t notice, or don’t know because it’s not on the FAQ. I think I just have traffic-colored glasses on half the time – stuff that seems obvious to me, cats tell me is some amazing discovery.
I’ll do an abridged version of the video for Traffic Reality too.

I JUST turned the page back on for more Traffic Reality memberships, with immediate access to the site and the last two newsletters. And some people must have those notifiers turned on that tell them when a page has changed, because the first 12 are already gone! I was preparing to announce it in the newsletter in a few hours, but okay – go get ‘em if you want ‘em!
(And if, by chance you really don’t know what I’m babbling about, you can click the link.

The enclosed file is a five minute audio from the interview I did with PRWeb earlier today.
Most people who start blogging and using RSS in their marketing start a blog in order to brand, communicate, “humanize” their corporation and its services/products, or for many other reasons.
Though the reason to blog shouldn’t be centered solely around blogging, taking a few extra steps with the way the blog and blog posts are set up can make a world of difference, often to the tune of thousands more visitors a month.
I talk about that for a few minutes in this podcast. Download here.

I haven’t been around for a while, and I’ll probably post an update on that later. I’ll be flying back to Vegas on May 2nd, and by the 7th, I’ll officially be around full time again. While I have a few minutes, I thought I’d talk a little about business blogging, since I have a press release out about it today.
One of the reasons I talk about blogging so much is that I know a lot of webmasters who are absolutely desperate for traffic to their sites. They often have a budget of less than one hundred and fifty dollars, a few hours a week of free time for marketing, and desire search engine traffic above all else.
If this sounds like you, let me ask you this.
What’s wrong with a method to increase your search engine traffic in the time it takes to write a medium-length email every weekday for 30 – 90 days? Especially if, after 90 days, you can maintain those results with one update a week?

The idea of whether or not Adsense publishers have a Google advantage is changing from a definitive no to a maybe for some people. My answer is still a no, but that’s not to say that part of the logic for a yes answer is necessarily wrong.
From Industry News, Marketing Trends: Google’s Matt Cutts Confirms AdSense Bot to BigDaddy Connection:
Now to sort out the issue of whether or not this indicates a SERPs advantage for AdSense publishers…I stated in a previous post, without verifying it, that “AdSense publishers’ content is indexed and cached more frequently.” Jon Revill’s digging into that now with some internal data.
If it can be shown that AdSense publishers’ pages ARE updated more frequently than non-AdSense sites then I think we can build the case that Google’s favoring its business partners over its non-business partners in its SERPs.
