Free Traffic Tips | Status

If you were here earlier today, you probably noticed that the site has been down for about five hours. We’re back up, apparently I need to move from a quarter-dedicated server to a half-dedicated server.

I’d also like to take this opportunity to tell you that I won’t be around for a few days cuz I’m taking care of a slight emergency that will require my full attention.

If you’ve tried to reach me today, nothing is wrong and I’m not greatly impaired in any way (unless, of course, you count tha fact that I’m a little bit crazy.) I’ll be back towards the tail end of the weekend, and I may show up with a few surprises. Ta!

Jill Whalen’s Discloses Shocking Secrets at Inspired SEO

See another side of Higher Ranking’s Jill Whalen at her blog Inspired SEO . I don’t know if this is her only blog or one of many, but she is my SEO Role Model – real search engine advice, no here-today, banned-tomorrow tricks.

If I was still doing pure SEO, I’d want to be her. And I just found out some shocking secrets about her, right out in broad daylight on her blog:

I didn’t think that there would be anything to say that you haven’t already heard since I generally tell all in my newsletter, and have been for years. But I did manage to come up with a few tidbits you may not know.

So without further ado, here are 5 facts you didn’t (hopefully) know about me.

Welcome Google Finance Readers

I’ve been popping on and off the front page of Google’s finance page for Google Stock for the last half hour, and since my blog is Definitely not the usual type that is featured there, I just thought I’d say howdy.

If you’re here from Google Finance, this site is all about how to use various online resources, including search engines and search engine tools, to ethically bring traffic to a website in a cost effective fashion. Because it’s not just about how much money you make in your online business – it’s how much you keep.

And, of course, in the interim, I can’t shut up about Google, or Yahoo for that matter.

If you’re a regular reader and want to know my theory for why I ended up on the page, I’m not telling. :) But if you went there and I got bumped again, here’s a link to the screenshot.

Why Chris Hooley is Almost As Awesome as Me. Okay, Just as Awesome as Me

His blog is like, my mothership. First of all, it’s called Thinkbait.

Like linkbait. But with THINKING. I’m so jealous for not thinking of that. It’ll probably spawn a whole generation of ___bait expressions, such that if I come up with a really cool one it won’t seem original.
