Mulligatawny Monday | Okay Chillins, Get Ready. Blogs, Blogs, Blogs, Blogs!

In my continuing effort to help you with blogs, traffic, feeds, RSS, Google, Yahoo!, news, posts, SEO, MSN, Paris Hilton, music, fun, entertainment, learning, making mo money, etc. – Here’s a list from Blog-Maniac.

No, I haven’t read them all. No, we are not endorsing anything. No, you may not yell at me if you follow something they say and it f’s up. No, you can’t go whining to Tinu with ‘Morgan said…’. No, you may not, not, not, not!

Leftover from Traffic Thursdays | I’m All A-Twitter Too (Short Article with Video)

VideoJug: Twitter

This past Traffic Thursdays, I attempted to jump too quickly back into a more frequent work schedule. Silly me. Here’s the first of the three posts I was meant to publish then.

The video above is about Twitter – if you’ve heard of this site but don’t understand about it, then this video is definitely for you. Quick lowdown- Twitter is arguably the most popular, and definitely the simplest, of the new microblogging tools. Think instant messaging merged with social networking. To use it, you create an account, and then publish a short blurb of less than 140 characters telling what you’re up to at the moment.

Mulligatawny Monday | The Best Online Research Apps/Sites You’ve Never Heard Of

I’ve been trying to come up with some unique information for those of you who might be having a wee bit of trouble on topics. I mean, how many times can you post about a particular subject before you run out of gas. (The exception to this rule is Tinu, and there’ll only be one of her in the whole universe. Ever!)

But for us mortals, it’s a different story, and that’s the truth, whether you own up to it or not!

So, without further adieu, here’s some places you can wallow around in for as long as you like. Thanks to OEDb.

Research can be a time consuming and sometimes tedious task. How can you make it easier for yourself? While there is no complete substitute for a good old-fashioned trip to the library, you can find a wide variety of information with many research tools. Here are a few sites listed in alphabetical order. You might not be familiar with some of the resources, but they can help supplement and improve your research.

Mulligatawny Monday | Five Words To Never Use In An Ad-?

Good morning, afternoon or evening, which ever applies to you.

I was on a mission over the weekend to come up with new stuff on -

  • Building Traffic To Your Blog
  • How To Write Posts That People Will Want To Read
  • Optimizing Your Posts For Search Engines
  • Increasing Website Traffic With Articles
  • Magic Words For Your Advertising

and so on.  Regarding the last entry, I Googled all the words and phrases I thought might lead me to the “magic words” for your advertising campaigns and all I found was tired old cliches.

So, I reversed my thinking and searched for words, terms not to use, and came across an article that simply surprised me. Not as much as by what the author had to say, but that I had read a piece like this some 15-20 years ago.  And since some of you might not have been interested in reading business, or rather sales articles that long ago, why don’t you take a lash at this.

Cheating Fridays | How to Cheat on SEO with FEO in Three Easy Steps

Step One: Find something to write/pod/vlog about that you really care about and can talk about over and over until the end of time as we know it.

Step Two: Start up a blog/podcast/vlog, put your ads in place, incorporate some light keyword research, and start cranking out content. Tip for Vloggers – Blip.TV pays cash money by inserting ads in/around your vid shows. Blogger tip – there’s more ways to monetize blogs than I’ll currently speak of. Maybe another day. Okay, I’ll make a show about it on our Blip channel, which I currently feel is hideous, so why did I just link to it?

Step Three: Have such extraordinary content that everyone in the free world links to you instead of painstakingly optimizing your site.

Step Four: Make super-phat big Dollas so you can pay someone else to do your SEO.

Cheatin Fridays | How to Cheat On Your Blog Posts Today

Okay, today is cheating Fridays.

I have renamed it.

You will comply.

I’m going to talk about a bunch of random things marginally related to traffic because I can’t sleep, mostly due to soreness, and partly due to the fact that I’m not satisfied with the translated copy of the videos I have uploaded. So I’m firing up Camtasia, and doing them over.

No, Dr. Mani, I am not going to end up back in the hospital. Promise.

Anyhoo, the first topic of the day is how you, too, can totally cheat on your blog posts, by which I mean, you can get total credit for doing a great service to the blogging community and also incorporate said service into a post. You’ll be a hero, a scholar and a lady/gentleman. It will totally change your whole entire life and is absolutely free of charge. It will make you attract women and/or men from every corner of the globe and make you sixty-seven point three Kajillion dollars.

*edit. This player is more beautifuller. Hope you enjoy. (May take a few second to load – feel free to read the article first, it won’t give anything away. :) )

The links below are to other significant information about Technorati, including how inconsistent they’ve been with my site(s). Gr. Pay particular attention to the first link – if you want to be successful at Technorati, tagging is essential. But you’ll want to at least skim all of this stuff before you implement what you’re watching above. And if you have no clue what Technorati is, see our WebTraffic.Blip.tv Channel for a really basic newbie tutorial, and take a look at a show with instructions on setting up your blog in Technorati.

Yeah… I’m Tired of Uploading and Transmorgifying Video, so…

I’m going to give it one more try with at least the first video. Then screw those guys, I’m going to bed. I want to install Camtasia and do the flash thing. But I also want my bed. This is the longest I’ve been awake and actually up and about doing stuff since my recovery started, and I’m ain’t getting sicker again.

That’s right. I said “I’m ain’t.” :)

There’s… let me go count… six videos coming at you by sometime tomorrow, on kyte, splashcastmedia, Twitter, Jaiku, and Technorati. The Technorati one is a three part series.

I love being able to put together six tutorials in a day with no typing. But I hate… detest… the whole video format changing and uploading process. I’m definitely paying for one of the services that hooks this up. Bah and humbug sez I!
