Wanna See Something That Rocks? Keyword Data for Social Networks

One of the things we’ll be studying at our closed-door Social Media class as part of Traffic Expertise, is how to promote yourself in Social Media Communities without being intrusive or breaking etiquette. Here’s a tool that we’ll be using. It helps you look for keyword data within Social Networks.

Give SiteVolume a spin around the block now as practice. If you have questions, there’s a cool form on the site.

Mulligatawny Monday | A Lil Bit of Everything Today

Yeah, so it’s Mulligatawny Monday. Of course the stew that is today’s bunch of posts will be a little bit of everything. That’s normal around these parts. Here’s what’s not normal that I plan on doing today.

I am in a really sensitive mood and have a lot on my mind. I also have a few series that were not completed, some due to time constraints, others because, well, I just got tired halfway through. So if you wanted to hear more about Trustbait and Traffic or Social Media and Traffic or have missed the posts where you see through to the real Tinu in all her happy/whiny/achy/funny(?)/helpy (I know, not a word. But my poetic license is still valid.) way …

That’s what today will be like. We’re return to our all business face Tinu on the morrow.

Haha! Like I’m Ever ALL Business. I like to have fun, don’t you?

Tool Time Friday | Want to Find an IP address of a Website?

This tool will find out the IP address of a website as well as the websites’ hosting country.

This might be useful if you want to see where the server of your hosting provider is located.

Some search engine results can be filtered by the geographical location of websites, so you might find out why your website is doing so well on some local searches. Give you any marketing ideas? I knew you’d get it. So get it.

Tool Time Friday | What’s my IP?

Determine your IP address with this tool!

Every machine on the internet has a unique identifying number, called and IP Address. A typical address looks like this: 195.24.53.107.

The four sets of numbers are used in different ways to identify a particular network and a host on that network. Those numbers are called octets, because they have eight positions when viewed in binary form.  The octets serve a purpose other than simply separating the numbers. They are used to create classes of IP addresses.

In addition, there are five classes of IP addresses, broken down into Class A through Class E.
