A Google Accelerator Thumbs Down

From Google Blogoscoped, Banning Google: “Dr. Karl-Friedrich Lenz, a German law professor living in Japan and author of a book on Go as well as a PageRank 7 blog, is banning Google from his site to protest against the Web Accelerator… which he calls the “ultimate spyware”.”

This bold move is so interesting that you just have to go and read the article yourself. While I’m sure that this one blog didn’t make Google decide to shut its Web Accelerator down, it makes you wonder what would happen if more people were willing to pass up their Adsense change, their Google search results and PR in the name of what they felt was right.

I’ve made a couple of somewhat bold moves against Google, but not a full-on boycott. This guy has … I’ll give you the clean version. Guts.
