Oh yeah, I’m still blogging today. And I realize I could send this via email but I just like being on the Blogger site.
So I’m a freak show. Sue me.
Getting to the current tip. If you’re a web publisher, you know all about the issues with running an emailed newsletter. If you’re anything like me, you’re really tired of the headache and are looking for alternatives, though by no means are you thinking it’s time to shut down your ezine now.
So for my last post of the day, I’m going to focus on one particular alternative to email. (We’ll get into those tutorials on making your own feed tomorrow. Don’t want you getting sick of me already.)
One of the things you can do, to supplement your marketing efforts, is create a custom toolbar.
And yes, many of your visitors won’t download it. I mean really, how many people need another toolbar. But if you aren’t selling primarily to hard-core marketers, they might actually appreciate the download *if* you make it something that is useful to them.
So far, I’ve found three flavors of custom toolbar creation, none of which I’ve tested.
First, you can go the techie route, and build one from scratch like a programmer.
(You geek.)
(Okay, I’m kidding. I’m a bit of a technophile myself. Though I hate how much that word sounds like pedophile. EEEEEEW. Wait.. tangent….. Oh yeah, we were talking about toolbars.)
Here’s the link to a code builder project that should help you, though you have to be a member to download.

Second is a company that sincerely seems to want to make one for you. Also untested but I haven’t heard any complaints so far. Try it here:

Third, there’s a tool called Sidekick Salesman that will follow your clients around and remind them if they so choose. I’d be least likely to download this. Then again, if I wanted to be reminded to buy something on pay day, I might be grateful for it. Examine the free demo..
That’s it for today lovelies. I’m beat and I still have to organize a new site, increase the price of my current star product now that it’s been updated, and promote or add content to my 17 news feeds.
Yes. Busy? Understatement. Tune in tomorrow for that feed creation tutorial.
