“Crosstown Traffic” was a song on Jimi Hendrix’s Electric Ladyland Album, released in 1968. I was listening to this song and it occurred to me that traffic is just like traffic. What?????
Think about it.
What we’re all trying to do is get from one place to another whether we’re in our car or in our blog. Both have engines (seo or V6’s or V8’s), both have transmissions (standard/automatic or your ranking), both are personalized (bumper stickers or widgets, tags(on your license plates) or tags), options (DVD players or web video, CD players or web audio) and the list goes on and on.
We also need to maintain our vehicles/blogs so they are performing as best as they should, we need to update our vehicles/blogs from time to time and we need to obey the traffic rules or we might/will crash and burn. If you’re not responsible on the road you might not be responsible on the infomation highway.
I guess the tip for today is that we should all act accountably, conscientiously and sensibly no matter what kind of traffic we’re in.
And be sure to follow the rules of the “road”.
Some lyrics from Crosstown Traffic -
“You’re just like Crosstown Traffic, so hard to get through, Crosstown Traffic, I don’t need to run over you, Crosstown Traffic, all you do is slow me down, and I’m trying to get on the other side of town”.
