Welcome. I suspect that the trouble you’re having with getting traffic is one of singular, systematic focus. You’ve got to focus on one method, maximize it, automate it, then add others. I looked at your site and it also seems that your theme is too wide. First thing, narrow down to a specialty in making money. Then, focus on one keyword group. Focus on it in your title and let the way you configure WordPress do the rest, just write naturally.

Second, you need a system for driving traffic. How are you learning to increase your traffic? Multiple sources, or finding one system, learning it fully, then adding others?

Third, get help. Find someone who knows what they’re doing to build you a traffic plan, then find someone with more time on their hands to execute it for you if you can’t afford your favorite expert. If you can’t pay someone directly, give a family member a commissions-only gig.

What traffic system are you using now?

Didn’t mean to skip you. it’s faster to answer what type of pages Are Not suitable for SU. A squeeze page in StumbleUpon is a bad idea, and so is a sales letter. You want interactive, community driven pages. Ideally I’d say a blog post. Because if you don’t hit it out of the park the first time, there’s another blog post the next day.

Digg, definitely. I’ve … guided clients to 40k from Digg in a day. Once you get on the front page, you can get 2000 visitors in five minutes. The question is – is Digg your audience? I discourage my clients from targeting Digg because Digg isn’t really their audience.

Reddit, definitely. The most I’ve gotten from Reddit was from someone else submitting this blog for my Google blogs post, which sent 3500 visitors directly, and never reached the front page.

And there are other social media sites that can push great heaps of traffic, (Delicious comes to mind off the top of my head, as does Twitter, which can push traffic at the same rate of Digg but without the restrictions. Facebook can push traffic too, depending on what group your information travels in) but where SU is superior is that it’s easier traffic, and much more targeted.

There’s also an option to test with paid traffic, and you have a much wider variety of pages that can be submitted. At the same time, no man can be an island in StumbleUpon – after a certain number of times if you submitted information from the same time, your influence for that one site goes down. So you must collaborate. At the same time, you can’t just cheat the system by getting 100 friends to vote thumbs up because your pages are going out to the SU community at large. They start giving you thumbs down and it kills your campaign.

So you must have quality content as well.

I can’t explain SU in this small space, but the answer too your 27k in a week question is yes. And I can teach people how to do that with article marketing, with press releases, with search.. my biggest problem is getting my knowledge into some kind of digestible format.
