Top of the afternoon to you. Thanks for your patience during my little transitional period, which, by the way, is not over - I still have to re-build my member resource section from scratch and re-import the database. I had some issues with an upgrade so I’m going to put it back at the level it was until I can find myself a programmer to figure out why my database doesn’t want to be upgraded.

But no biggie. :-D These things happen… and when they happen to me, I come back to you filled with lessons so you can walk around the pothole if you should see it in your business.

But we’ll come back to that, most likely on Money Monday.

For now, let’s talk about offline publicity for your online venture. Here’s one idea from a site I already told you about, Duct Tape Marketing. These are some ideas for how you can use an AM public radio show of your own to get the word out about your site.

I just wanted to add that I’ve had some experience with the ability to offer other people offline publicity while you build your own reputation - it’s gold. Jump on any variation of this idea… as long as you maintain your rep and are a credible, consistent source, even a little bit of power as a media source goes a long, long way.

Another note - don’t discount online radio shows. I know of some that have damn near fanatic followings, many of them on the former mp3.com - before they changed their site, the spoken word radio show my partner and I had set up used to be in their top ten book charts, and sent us thousands of free visitors a month. So if you can’t get your own show, be a guest on someone else’s.
