Free Traffic Tips :: Status

I know. I said I was going to rest this weekend. I got so excited about the response I got to the book I said I would have out next week that I can’t sleep. So I’ll probably end up writing it this weekend.

So, since I’m up, I thought I’d talk a little about a few things I’m adding to my blog this week.

1st: Better navigation. I noticed that new people aren’t even aware of the member’s area, my free ebooks, the forums, or the rest of the syndication links. So I’ll hook all of that up over the next month.

2nd: I’ll be launching a separate audio feed since so many of you would rather listen than read. In fact, I’ll be going a little audio crazy in the next three weeks. I’d been waiting for a very special event and it’s here. (Hint: Read USA Today, Morgan Stanley’s reports, Lockerknome‘s site or Wired.com lately?)

3rd: I’m moving the blogroll to its own page and getting rid of my sidebar.

4th: The hundreds of testimonials are going in the blog, but one at a time. I appreciate your comments and I want to link back to you in a way that people will notice.

5tth: Also new in the blog will be answers to common questions, about the site, my books, me, and all the free traffic methods at this site.

And I’ll answer one common question about the site right now.

People who are beginners often ask me why I have such an unassuming site.

1- I like to fly under the radar, keep a low profile. I’m not a flashy person.
2- Flash never made anyone any money. I do the bare minimum possible to still have a professional site. The faster my site loads by dial-up the better.
3- Speaking of speed, since most of my site is accessed about 50% of the time within downloadable readers, the more I can do for that population’s experience, the better, as long as it doesn’t interfere with people who are reading the site with browsers.

Kay. I’ll try and sleep. So far I’m a 40 hour champion but I should crash soon…
