As you all know, I do my absolute best not to work on Sundays. This is not to say I won’t help someone in need if it is within my power and of sufficient urgency that it can’t wait, just that we all need a day of rest, regardless of our spiritual beliefs. It’s just how our bodies were made.
I’ve noticed that one of the biggest days for an infulx of people who are already members is Sunday, without fail, every week. So I’ve deiced to do one or two small posts on Sundays that aren’t work related. These will represent some things that those of us who are small business owners can do to help others, in some small way.
The idea is, if we all come together and give a little bit of help to an organization, the combined effort will make a big difference.
The projects I’ll select will be non-profit organizations that have some component online, have a minimal investment, such as a donation of $5 or some action as small as a link back.
Also, a percentage of any purchases made at or through my site that day will go to the featured organization each week.
To participate, just come by on Sundays and read about what we’re going to do. I’ll try to have an option for people who are unable to spend either the suggested time or money, so that the most people possible can make a concerted effort to do the small good deed.
