Google Related Links Launches For Publishers

Ze quote, from Search Engine Journal

The Google Related Links tool (which does not appear to be in BETA) is now available via Google Labs to publishers who are interested in adding it to their site.

Publishers can customize the look, feel, and size of the Google Related Links boxes while also choosing which tabs are shown via the current choices of “search”, “news” and “web pages.”

Ze thoughts from my brain: Am I to understand that I won’t profit from this? So why am I adding javascript to my pages when I already have the links I want rotating?

Hm. One thought is, it may give you some clues to how to adjust your site when you see what Google says is related to you. Of course, just like AdSense, it doesn’t actually create a situation where you will rank better in search engines because you have it.

Rumor mill has all kinds of possibilities that AdSense will bring you optimization perks. The only one I think is even borderline plausible is that since they need to send a spider to get the context for your ads, that if they haven’t  picked you up before, and you have good content, and meet all their other criteria, they May send the other spider out to see your site.

Maybe.

Other than that, i have found in my testing that all the AdSense rumors are false. So don’t apply those falsehoods forward to Related Links.
