Lovelies? How many times did I say “optimize your images”? And quoted other people who say “optimize your images?” Because guess what? As part of Google’s massive images update, where relevant, images are now included in main Google search results pages.
So what do I mean by optimize your images?
Number one, if you want to rank for “free software” then all your images that have to do with free software should be named accordingly. For example, you could name oall your free ICQ software “free_ICQ_Sottware_TheBrandName”.
Number two, alt text. Try picking a different secondary keyword that includes your major keyword. For example, a popular search might be “palm freeware”. Instead of trying to rank for the more competitive word, you could focus on ranking for “palm os freeware”. Then once you’ve secured your position, you may have enough relevancy already for a sneak attack on the original, more popular phrase.
Can you dig it?
