So I was trying to get some sleep and someone whose number I didn’t recognize showed up on my cell phone.
I got up, I went to my Gmail account and typed it in. Dang. Nothin.
Most people who have my number know that they need to schedule a time with me in advance, on account of my weird schedule. So I was hoping I didn’t forget anyone. I took out the dashes and searched again, but this time I hit the wrong button – next to the “Search Mail” button is one called “search Web”.
And you want to see something weird? It’s called Google PhoneBook -Try it for this fictional number: 0000000000.
It’s no any big secret or anything and it’s documented on the web search feature page. It’s just something I’ve overlooked and know I haven’t spoken about yet. It’s really spooky too.
I mean I knew I could track packages and airline flights with Google. I knew I could shop and find old college and high school buddies.
But phone numbers with residential stree addys? *Shivers*.
But don;t panic though. They’ll remove you if you ask.
Mr. Bell, in Florida, I’m having a cat nap. Please email me if you’d like to schedule a time to talk.
