Targeting more affluent clientele, and cutting to the chase.
Giving a lot of great, free information, from your blog or newsletter is great for a certain crowd at a certain time for a certain amount of time. If you’re making a name for yourself, or building a resource site that will direct traffic to your mini-sites, that’s wonderful.
But there’s going to come a time when you’ll notice that people want to give you their money in the interests of getting just the what they need to know, without the extra fluff.
They don’t have time for free.
They don’t have time for free.
They don’t. Have the time. To get join your free site, then get your one-time-only-offer, then download your free book, which is the only place where you have your sales link.
They’d much rather go to your competitor and pay them $100, $250 or $1000 to get all the reports right away, hire you to do the research or hire you to do the whole job.
It took me some time to see this, and my big dilemna was “what if I like having a free resource? What if I do this as much for fun as for money and traffic? Then what?”
That was very simple, and it was Shawn Casey who enlightened me. I was already targeting more affluent clientele, because I was going where they were, and so was my business partner.
We had corporate clients and we served them a bit differently.
But I was using the beginner logic on the affluent clients and my partner was not. So I watched him for about a year. And I applied Shawn Casey’s very simple advice.
What was it? If you guess correctly what Shawn Casey told me that tripled my income in a month, I’ll tell you what it is. If you don’t, you’ll have to ask Shawn yourself. Be prepared to part with a dollar, bu it was 100% worth it.
