I’m just going to do a short update for now, because I’m really sleepy and I need a nap.

If you read my preliminary review of Instant Buzz, you’ll see where I pointed out some of the problems with the program, such as the fact that if you don’t use IE, you’re basically stuck using the banner on your site since it doesn’t work with Mozilla Firefox. I have a significant amount of my audience, often up to 25%, using the browser, including me, so the fact that it won’t close when you press the X if you’re surfing an Instant Buzz site was of concern to me too.

So I definitely have issues with it, and I found it to be a bit of a hassle to deal with. So I took it off our Member’s Area where it was in testing, and moved it to my RSS Latest News blog.

But here’s the thing.

Even though that site gets a lot less traffic than this one, I found that in testing it on that blog, which really isn’t ready for public promotion yet, I was earning credits.

Not only was I earning credits, every single one that was a click through and not just an ad display converted to a sale.

100% conversion rate on a sales page that quite frankly, wasn’t even up to par yet.

That caught my attention. Then I read a book about a significant internet marketer who was having a lot of success with Instant Buzz - it was one of my gifts in the Free Advertising Giveaway. And it all started to come together in my head.

Instant Buzz if having a promotion push that starts on Friday morning. I’ll post again then - what I’d like to do is make this my next traffic test. When you see that post, if you’d like to participate, join Instant Buzz. Then I’ll send you a copy of the book I read. I’ll also tell you what I did that seems to have made the difference - I assure you that anyone can do it.

Once that’s covered, anyone wishing to share their experiences can post in the Traffic Secrets forum - I’ll give you a direct link on Friday.

Here’s the link to the invitation page that will go live on Friday - it’s disabled right now. It’s free to join and worth a try - you won’t have to click a bunch of ads in order to participate - either install the IE-only toolbar, or post some unobtrusive code to your pages. You can preview the code on my RSS blog.

Ta! I’m off to dreamland….
