It’s a Bird, It’s a Plane, It’s Google’s Custom Map Tool Tuesday!

Google introduces improved Custom Map Tool.

I stumbled across an article regarding Google’s new map tool and thought you might enjoy playing around with it.

You no longer need the API or third-party tools to create a pesonalized Google Map with multiple points of interest.

The tool allows users to create personal maps, with multiple points of interest, custom boundaries and embedded photos and links, which they then can share with other readers, or link to from their websites.

It used to be that you needed to use the Google Maps API, or third-party tools, to create such maps. Now, it’s a simple point-and-click interface.

This is a nifty tool to create a custom online map, with little effort.
