The greatest thing just happened. I made another connection to another person. It was brief, and not deep, but it was inspiring. (Thanks to William of The Marketing Mentor for your interaction and you patience with my little snafu- all fixed!)
People ask me all the time why I don’t just set up my sales completely on auto-pilot. They say I can grow faster and be a famous internet marketer!
Well here’s a thought. Maybe I want to control my growth. Maybe one of my special marks is personal service, and I don’t want to grow faster than I can train people to help in that regard.
And maybe I don’t ever want to be famous as an internet marketer. Maybe I want to be famous as a woman who helps businesses small and large.
Yes, auto-responders are sometimes the most appropriate thing. And I have them, and other means to make sure that people get their orders immediately. But I still take care to send a follow-up email.
Yes manually. Yes, every single order.
And yeah, if I have other things to do, it can be a slight pain or inconvenience at times. But you forget all about that when someone writes you to say ” Thanks.” or “I’m so used to auto-responders.”
And you know you stick out in their minds. So one day, maybe you’ll have a lifelong customer - or even better, one who considers you a friend.
Much better than twice the money on a front end sale that was automated, don’t you think?
