Web Video Quadruples conversion rates. Yes. That Says Quarduples. Affiliate Marketers? Peep this:
You reviewed Aaron Wall’s SEOBook both on Tailored Consulting’s site and in video at www.SEOBookReview.com, how do the conversion rates of the two compare?
They’re not even close. The video review converts at 3-4 times the rate of the text review. And I’d expect it to - I can provide so much more information via video through using graphs, graphics and audio (I can do that to an extent with the text page but not nearly so well) that really help me get my message across..
The final word - how hot is video? And should you just wait to insert your ads into video? Or should you make viral videos or howtos that expose you better to your audience?
comScore did a research report that AdWeek reported on in September. It said, in part:
Roughly three-fifths of the U.S. Internet audience, or over 106 million people, streamed some sort of video on the Web during the month of July–as advertisers continue to flock to this hot segment. Yet many of the biggest players in online video are sites that do not support video advertising, according to a new report from comScore Media Metrix.
I know. The population of the States is supposedly 300 million people - so isn’t 106 million about a third? But let’s focus on the bottom line. 106 million people. It’s a trend you can’t afford to ignore.
