It won’t be here until February 14th, so that means, right now, you have the chance to help children with Congenital Heart Defects. Read more about how you can participate at the following link:
A DAY FOR HEARTS : CHD Awareness Day, Feb.14th – Heart Disease and Cardiology
The man behind this site is someone I’ve mentioned at this site before, Dr. Mani. He has another site I’ll tell you about in a moment that is perfectly aligned with the spirit of Non-Profit Sundays. I’ll be back to tell you about that in a minute.
I’m going to start being more specific about my commitments to these organizations, as I’m told it helps to inspire others.
(I prefer doing my good deeds undercover, but what the heck, if it helps. :p )
I’ve decided to give 20% of all the proceeds of a special project I’m doing to this foundation, forever. I invite you to join me in making a gesture towards them, however large or small you can.
You can tell friends, you can link to them, you can send a special greeting of awareness on Valentine’s Day, you can sponsor a child’s treatment for as low as $5, or you can partner with the site, if you want to contribute on a larger sacle. It’s quick and easy and the mechanism for each action is on the site.
But while you’re here, let me tell you again what Non-Profit Sundays is.
Each week, I chose an organization or two that I dedicate myself to dedicating some of my time and part of that week’s proceeds to and then I write about it on Non-Profit Sundays.
The idea is, many of us who are business owners and have online branches can do a little bit, at the same time, and the United energy can make a huge difference. Each week I attempt to choose a non-profit organization whose minimum cash donation is low enough for most people to give a little.
I also choose those that are online, so that if you can’t donate money that week, you can link to them, and/or tell your audience.
So make a little difference. It feels fantastic and you’d be surprised at the way the Goodwill boomerangs back to you.
