Off Topic – What You Get For Subscribing

Just a quickie in response to questions, it’s a bit off the topic of Traffic Thursdays. (But it can still help with traffic if you aren’t a subscriber.) – that box on every page signs you up to the weekly ezine, Zero Cost Traffic, which gives you a summary of the week’s posts, plus at least one traffic-related freebie in every issue. You’ll also learn about other inexpensive ways to draw traffic or to learn how-to and do-it-yourself methods on the cheap.

When you subscribe, for now until we change our minds, you’ll also get free traffic gifts immediately upon confirmation. There is a free audio interview, a free video about Google by Tinu, and two free ebooks. As time goes on, when we offer more free gifts in the ezine, some of the best will end up on the free gifts page, too.

Now, if you stop by the blog daily, you might be thinking, why should I subscribe via RSS?

Well, our RSS feed has extra information spliced into it using FeedBurner’s excellent service. Late-breaking news often gets added to the feed hours, sometimes days before we address it as a topic here on the site, because our site coverage is often themed by day, and usually includes more than just the news. (You told us it was more useful to know HOW search engine news is relevant to you and what to DO in order to use it, than finding out the second it happens.)

If you’re a feed reader, you are already getting announcements of when our issues go live on Zero Cost Traffic, you might think that there’s no reason to subscribe via email too.

But did you know that subscribers get special extras from time to time that only arrive via email? Whether those are free mini-courses or exclusive ebooks, you will want to be first in line during our limited time freebies, betas, sales, or traffic testing.

Podcast subscribers – or hopefuls – we’re not forgetting you. Tinu hasn’t been able to do a podcast since JULY of last year. But a little bird told me that phoning it in is sounding better to her than speech to text… no editing for example… And we know many of you like listening better than having to read because you can multi-task, and we hear you.

So there you have it – if you wanted to know how our various subscription options help you, there you go. Whether you’re a frequent blog reader, an ezine subscriber or viewing these posts in your reader, we thank you for being part of the gang. Subscribing gives us the chance to give you more for free, and for you to get more out of us in less time.
