PlugIM Weekend : Five Ways to Get More Out of Your PlugLife

PlugLife is trademarked by VainGirl 2007. LOL…

Colbertesqueness aside, I just wanted to give you five quick tips for getting more out of PlugIM, as the next time you’re going to see me do a full post will be Monday night, in honor of our upcoming Social Media and Traffic week: Beyond Web 2.0.

Five Ways to Get More Out of Your PlugLife

  1. Set up a Profile and Add Your Blog
  2. That’s easy enough – if you add your RSS Feed, your content is automatically added and plugged once by you. I can’t attest to this as of last week because our feed was broken, but before that, it worked really well. It sure looks a lot better to have one plug on all your posts than none.

  3. Don’t just monitor your plugs – be a part of the community.
  4. That means, plug other people’s posts, whether or not you’re on the site. Any time you are on the site, the best way to leave is to go through another post that has been plugged. Comment on the posts you see at PlugIM. You’ll stand out and it’s smart networking to add your opinion.

  5. Get Your AdSense On.
  6. A great way to increase your AdSense income – you share in the revenue of posts where you participate.

  7. Use the tools on the PlugIM Toolbelt
  8. Utilize the existing technology to make your participation easier. When it’s easy you’re less likely to procrastinate.

  9. Subscribe to the PlugIM blog [rss]
  10. I’m not just saying this because Ryan is so cool. If you keep the blog in your list, you know when the neat stuff has been added, or a major event takes place.

Those are my quickies. I’ll get into more general tips for social media when I return tomorrow evening. Until then…

Tinu Out…
