Search Engine Wednesday | Google CEO Talks About Viacom Lawsuit, Universal Search, More
Hey, You're New Here! We love new people.
Please do us the honor of returning. You can subscribe by RSS feed, or get updates by email. We also welcome your feedback on the posted information. When filling out the form, don't forget to leave your link and your first name.
This is a six minute video with Eric Schmidt, discussing the following:
- The Viacom Lawsuit (”was probably a just mistake” !!)
- Universal Search (“the blending, algorithmically, of results from video, and audio, books and so forth”…)
- iGoogle (”…many, many, millions of people are now personalizing their search experience.)
- The Double Click acquisition (”…we think that the ads themselves have value… fewer, better ads, which is better for the end user, which is the ultimate goal”.)
- Evil (”I understand the concerns, ultimately we’re different … because we are one click away from losing that end user.”)
Apparently this is from the All Things Digital Conference, but I got it from Marketwatch’s Brightcove Channel. The interviewer, I believe, is Walt Mossberg from the Wall Street Journal - someone please point out if I’m wrong as the video doesn’t say.
This was originally for my personal log about online video, but I had to show it to you, even though Google Tuesday was yesterday …. as most videos I show here that I didn’t personally make, feel free to grab the code and pass it on. I appreciate all the links back, thank you.
