T – T – Traffic Thursday – Sometimes you feel like a nut, sometimes you don’t!
I’m really talking about me. Not you.
AS you all may know, if you’ve read my first post, while I’m newish to blogging, I’m not new to business.
Good business ethics, practices, tactics, strategy, know-how and successes will serve you well no matter what one’s format happens to be.
The quandry in which I find myself, is how do I effectively communicate “success” to all of you without coming across as “talking down” to those who are seasoned veterans or confusing those who are “newbies”?
Okay. I can hear you all shouting – “Morgan, what in the hell does this have to do with driving traffic to my site”?
Well, maybe not all of you.
You see, I’m a teacher at heart. Throughout my life I have always wanted to share, with those who were willing to accept, how to became successful. Yes, there were some who took the advice to heart and did well, while others thought it was too much work, too hard, too simplistic, etc. and either failed or did just so-so. They wanted the quick-fix, the money without the sacrafice, always betting on the come. Their loss, not mine. You see, I don’t suffer fools gladly.
I don’t want you to lose. I want all of you to win. Winners are fun to be around. Losers, well, you fill in the blank.
Here’s today’s lesson – trite and pedestrian as it may seem to be.
How many of you have set down your plan on paper?
Your daily plan. Your weekly plan. Your Monthly, Yearly, 3-Year, 5-Year, 10-Year plan?
How many of you have dreamed of a new home, a new car, a vacation, a whatever? Okay, now how many of you have a picture of your dream home, dream car, dream vacation, dream whatever taped to the front of your refrigerator (or wherever) so that every time you open and close the refrigerator door – that dream is staring you right in the face?
How many of you say to yourself, “I will live in that house, drive that car, go to that exoctic location, and buy that —”? (Not, “Gee, I wish I could live in a house like that”, or “Maybe, someday…”. Always speak in the positive, in the future as if you have already obtained that which you truly want. “Hey, that’s my house”!) And put a time frame on when you think you’ll be moving or showing off your new car and strive with all your heart and passion to make it come true.
So – set out your plan, put up your pictures, make a time-line to achieve your goals, and just do it. Believe you can and you can.
Apologies to those who may think I’m sermonizing. If only you knew how much I truly want success for all of you.
Remember-
Failure is not an option.
Morgan
P.S. I promise, I promise, I promise that next Thursday’s post will be about Traffic.
