Is it me or is Technorati working especially well lately? I have blogs in all different kinds of format, and on all of them, they’ve really been on time these past few weeks, even with Blogger. I mean, I hope I’m not jinxing it or anything, but it seems like they’re doing a great job right now.
Okay. I have to stop and do the rest of this later. The video for Sade’s Cherish the Day is on. Life must come to a screeching halt for four minutes.
*Edit* Okay, I’m back. I was wondering how everyone else is finding Technorati. The next video I’m going to add to the Blog Optimization Package is about tricks to getting more traffic out of Technorati. There’s so much about the site that people don’t notice, or don’t know because it’s not on the FAQ. I think I just have traffic-colored glasses on half the time - stuff that seems obvious to me, cats tell me is some amazing discovery.
I’ll do an abridged version of the video for Traffic Reality too.
So, again, tell me what YOU think - how is Technorati doin’ right now? Are they picking up your blog? Do they always? Please be a dear and give us a link.

Yes, they’re doing a great job. In fact they’re even removing out splog sites and non-blog sites with rss feeds.
That’s fantastic - maybe that’s why the performance is so much better - less junk in the engine.
Yes, they are doing a much bettr job, and picking up relevant postings in my area. This has only happened recently.
I was wondering what was going on with Technorati - there was a lot of junk in the travel category with no relevance to anything.
I would be interested in how to get more traffic from the site.

I’ll do a basic post about Technorati traffic within the week. The key thing is making sure they are properly picking up your feed, and figuring out which tags are the borderline “spam” ones and which ones are by quality authors.
I daily put in the technorati links on my daily blog entries , ping it but it still says it hasn’t been pinged for 21 days.
Can’t figure out why
