Google is not the only search engine on the block. Really? Yes, really.
Here’s one that is one of my favorite alternatives because it is a meta search which means that it combines search results from a variety of different sources.
You’re more in command of your own search experience, as, according to the website, ‘Clutsy queries several top search engines, combines the results, and generates an ordered list based on comparative ranking. This “metasearch” approach helps raise the best results to the top and pushes search engine spam to the bottom.’
In addition, Clutsy provides a very nice feature called ‘clusters.’  What I mean by this is that after you enter your search term, instead of being overwhelmed with jillions of results, Clutsy groups similar results together into ‘clusters’, thereby helping you to zero in on exactly the info you’re looking for. It also has a feature that let’s you search for news, jobs, blogs, images, etc. with just a click.  Cool, huh?
