Thank you for coming, and thank you for voting for us. I just wanted to give you an introduction of what’s going on here, and what we can do for you, for free or otherwise.

My name is Tinu Abayomi-Paul, and in July 2004 I established this blog as flagship of a family of sites I’ve been running since 2002, which you can see from the archives. I now have a team working with me, including Morgan and Cindy Lighter, my new partners.

As part of our larger business, our blog was established to help your small to medium brick and mortar business learn how to bring more website traffic to their new online web property additions, including, but not emphasizing results from search.

Somewhere along the way it became a favorite of internet marketers and corporate businesses too, and we had to expand to add new divisions to serve those markets.

At the time this site was established there were very few resources created by people who knew what they were talking about that would help real people like you test methods to generate site traffic – everything was geared towards either wealthy big shots or designed to rip off the little guy. There are no shortage of these sites today, and painfully few seem to be run with you in mind. Which brings us to a critical question.

Do I know what I’m talking about?

I don’t believe anyone should take me at my word. My advice to you in that is the same I give for anyone seeking to find out whether they’re being helped … or scammed.

1. Research. [Tinu Abayomi-Paul listings on Google]Do other reputable institutions and individuals believe that the expert you want to trust knows their business? Anyone can submit articles, but few make it to the top-notch publications that require you to be a guest writer or on staff.
2. Test. Have you done something similar that worked? Try it their way. If it works it’s a good indication that they’ve got their head on straight.
3. Subscribe. [What's In It For You?]Whether via RSS or email, if you liked a few of the free tips, chances are you’d like a whole lot more.
4. Comment. [Our comment policy]Have a question? Something to add? We enjoy hearing from you. Even if it’s to tell us that your computer quit in the middle of a transaction. Not only do we answer back, we link back to legitimate, on-topic discussions, we don’t moderate comments that aren’t spam, and one of us visits ever single site left by commenters, looking for new blogs we can share, especially on del.icio.us, Facebook, or StumbleUpon.(If you want to be sure lots of people see your link, or increase the chances of having us share you on other social bookmarking sites, join our Open for Web Business Group on Facebook, and add your own link to our posted items section.)
