Yahoo Addresses Some Feedback about My Web 2.0

Quick summation ==> There are some who are none too thrilled about My Web 2.0. And I can dig what they’re saying to an extent. But where some see the drawbacks, I see the future potential. My enthusiasm for it comes from the fact that we’re moving in what I believe is the right direction, as far as tagging the web is concerned. There’s a whole other level to the way the web will be organized in the future, if you look at things like Grokker and other projects like it. So I’m inclined to be jazzed about anything that takes us forward in search.

One thing that Social Software should aspire to — all software and all products for that matter — is that it should be so compelling an experience that you are inspired to invite your friends. In other words, the experience should be fulfilling without any of your friends in attendance, and better when they are.”
