  4. Tinu,

I have to say that I was floored when I read your new Zero Cost Traffic issue. I had no idea you were battling with an illness. I, myself, have been away for a while because of recurring problems.

I truly hope you are feeling much better soon and am greatly impressed, and inspired, by your determination to continue caring for your readers and visitors to your site.

Your blog is the first one I visited after my extended leave and love the info and personal feel.

I know that your efforts are helping people succeed each and every day. I pray for a continued healing.

    You fellow marketer,
    Tim Bossie

  5. Hi Tim,

The truth is, I started this business because I was ill. It was this, depend on my family for money (which they’d happily do, but it’s not like they’re millionaires, LOL), or go on public assistance. And I’m just too proud, which at times is to my detriment. When I lost a really good job after being sick, I decided that instead of stopping my life for the negative energy of suing, I would move to Vegas, get a part time job, and start hitting up the conventions to make a little business.

I made a few friends, learned a few things about online marketing, and used those ideas to get more traffic. Then I realized that it was those ideas that people needed to become independent. Maybe there were other people out there in my situation or who just wanted to work from home. The first day I made more than I made at work in a month, in one day of sales, I quit. I don’t recommend that for everyone, but I am stubborn and proud.

Fast forward a few years later, and here we are. I make good money when I’m well, but with this illness I have to take it easy at least half the year or I’m just looking for trouble. Last year, I didn’t get that break. I made a bad decision about what company should collect money on my behalf last September, and had to run a class that was bigger than I expected by myself instead of with the staff of twelve I intended to hire and all the other resources I wanted. I thought I could do it. Instead I made myself sicker than I have been since 2001. When I get sick I have trouble walking, when I type my fingers swell up, and I can’t find a comfortable position to walk in.

I did the best I could until a checkup in late January led to a hospital stay. I still kept trying to work from my hospital bed. I ended up not being able to work until just a few weeks ago. And the company that collected the money for what was my most successful day ever is releasing the money to me in unpredictable trickles.

It wasn’t until all of that happened that I finally said, okay, MAYBE I should ask for someone’s help. But I didn’t want to admit that I couldn’t do something on my own. Apparently I have big issues with that, LOL. So I haven’t worked in four months, and I’m trying to ease my way back in and catch up to everything I’ve missed and it’s really hard.

I’m thinking now that maybe I can make a list of all my influential friends and go ask them what I can do. It’s evident that I need more time to recover, and my health bills eat up money fast.

Still, I can’t be upset. I’m really blessed to have so many people care about me, and to have everyone be so patient while I try to get back on my feet. I’m a really lucky person if you look at it that way.

Welcome back, Tim. I hope you’re okay and if there’s anything you think I can do to help, let me know.
